Inspired by The Weeknd’s “After Hours” album, Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights is a haunted house, and expect to encounter machetes, bandaged lunatics, and eerie toad-like creatures.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to step into the insanely dark and eerie world of The Weeknd, you’ll want to thank Universal Studios for its upcoming initiative. With Halloween festivities just a few months away, the popular theme park is connecting with the global phenomenon, transforming its traditional Halloween horror nights into a spooky experience based on the pop star’s After Hours album.
“This is an unprecedented haunted house that will shatter the expectations of our guests and immerse them in an equally unexpected and terrifying unforgettable experience,” said Charles Gray, senior program director of creative development at Universal Orlando. Guests who dare to step into the experience can look forward to gruesome encounters with killers, bandaged maniacs, terrifying toad-like creatures and other unfathomable horrors inspired by the album’s short film and music video.
When asked about creating a unique haunted house experience, The Weeknd said: “I’ve always wanted my own Halloween horror night haunted house because Halloween has always been important to my music, so it’s a complete dream. I feel My music video has become a springboard for this collaboration, and I can’t wait for people to experience the madness!”
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood kicks off Thursday, September 8, and all tickets for the spooky event are on sale now.
