Beyoncé’s new album is a big deal in itself, but with the iconic Grace Jones? With Tems, whose voice has arrived in 2022? It’s something very special, and fans found out for themselves when they heard “Move” on July 29, after Renaissance officially launched its streaming service. Celebrating female energy, the choir said: “Get out of the way, I’m with my girls, we all need space/When the queen passes, don’t try like others say/Get out of the way, how many times have I said that? ?/ When the team turns that around, it’s a home run.”

Bey’s vocals add a touch of silkiness to the song, while Lady Grace Jones shines with her nobility, and Tems brings the edge of the African beat to the song. “Move, move, move, move/ Yes, you have to move, move/ Anything you do/ will be against you/ You have to move, move, move, move/ leave, make room/ Stomp through/ Big The boss is in the mood.”

Beyoncé revealed the renaissance tracklist on July 21st when she showed the vinyl on Instagram and TikTok. Fans slowed down the video to see three name features – Grace Jones and Tems in “Move”, and dancehall artist Beam in “Energy”. Fans also dug through the source code on Apple Music’s Renaissance page to discover some of the contributors (per Complex). Apparently, the album features a who’s who of hip-hop stars: Jay-Z, Drake, Neptune, Syd, The-Dream, No ID, Hit-Boy, Mike Dean, 070 Shake, Skrillex, Tems, Big Freedia, Labrinth, Lucky Daye, Raphael Saadiq, BloodPop and AG Cook. There are obvious samples Donna Summer, James Brown, Teena Marie, Giorgio Moroder and Twinkie Clark furthering it’s a dance album idea.

Creating this album has given me a place to dream and find a place to escape during this dire time in the world,” Beyoncé wrote in a social media note accompanying the unveiling of the cover art. “It puts me in a place where everyone else is. Feel free and adventurous when there is no movement. My intention is to create a safe place, a place where no judgment is made. A place without perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, and feel free. This is a beautiful journey of discovery. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the swing. what! And feel unique, powerful and sexy just like you. ”

Renaissance is technically the first act of the Renaissance, which Beyoncé said was the start of a three-act project. So, Acts 2 and 3 are likely to come before the year ends.

The launch of Act One began with the release of “Break My Soul,” Beyonce’s first single from her solo studio album in six years. The song has been steadily climbing to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Before Renaissance was released, the song had reached number 7. Beyonce’s first TikTok was a collage of fans cheering for “Break My Soul,” and Ms Knowles’ message to all her fans: “It makes me so happy to see you all unleash the swing! Thank you so much everyone for the BREAK MY SOUL’s favorite.”
