Daniel Radcliffe’s Weird Al biopic gets an official premiere date, and Jankovic himself is involved in the project as a writer and producer.
Strange: The Elyankovic Story, the upcoming biopic about the famous musician starring Daniel Radcliffe, will premiere on The Roku Channel on Nov. 4, the streamer announced Thursday.
The premiere date was revealed along with the film’s official poster, which sees Radcliffe’s Jankovic posing from the back below the Hollywood sign, with curly hair, an accordion and a jacket emblazoned with the film’s title. “Mark your calendar,” Jankovic wrote under a poster on Instagram.

“The biopic unreservedly explores every aspect of Jankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to early hits like Eat It and Like a Surgeon to his fiery celebrity love interest and famously depraved lifestyle, ‘ reads Roku’s official synopsis. “Strange: The Aryankovic Story takes audiences on a truly incredible journey through Jankovic’s life and career, from the gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time.”
Strange: The Story of Al Jankovic is directed and co-written by Eric Appel and co-produced by Funny or Die and Tango. Jankovic himself worked on the project as a writer and producer. In addition to Radcliffe, the film also stars Evan Rachel Wood and Rainn Wilson.
