Emma Roberts posed on social media in a sleek all-black outfit – with retro-inspired shoes.
The “Tell Me Lies” producer showed off her latest off-duty ensemble on Instagram, which includes a pair of slim black pants with a split front, cat-eye sunglasses and a small shoulder bag. Roberts’ suit stood out from Cotton Citizen’s black Capri Cut Out shirt, a long-sleeve crop top with a textured rib knit. Complementing the $175 top was an asymmetrical neckline and a diagonal front cutout that was fastened with small buttons. While Roberts’ specific black top is now sold out, other colors of the style, along with a range of athleisure, denim and singles, can be found on Cotton Citizen’s website.

“Into my age of jewelry thieves,” Roberts captioned the photo, referring to the monochromatic black outfits typically worn by jewelry thieves in heist movies.
The “American Horror Story” star’s not-so-criminal attire was completed with a pair of raised-soled loafers from Celine. The $990 baby model features a black leather reptile-embossed upper and a rounded toe, and buckled straps create a Mary Jane-inspired silhouette—similar to ’90s-style shoes. Completing the suit is a thick rubber outsole with a ridged base, and a perforated “Triomphe” monogram – one of the French luxury brand’s hallmarks. The duo added a gothic and modern twist to Roberts’ outfit, offering a sole that was more dressy than a sneaker but less formal than a stiletto.
It wasn’t the only edgy outfit Roberts wore this summer. In fact, at the June premiere of Netflix’s vampire romance “First Kill,” she showed the same dark edge at home. For the occasion, Roberts wore a gothic lace Vampire Wife gown and a silk Hai tote – Andrea Wazen pumps with sparkling crystals, PVC and a bow top.
