Netflix shares first look at Millie Bobby Brown in ‘Enola Holmes 2,’ director Harry Bradbeer calls sequel ‘tougher’

Netflix has now shared a first look at its upcoming sequel to Enola Holmes. New stills, released on Entertainment Weekly, give fans of the original a glimpse of what the follow-up will look like, with three images showing returning Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill and Louise Partridge And the new role of Sharon Duncan-Brewster. Helena Bonham Carter has also been confirmed to reprise her role as Eudoria Holmes, with Adil Akhtar and Susan Vocomo also returning for the sequel.

Netflix has largely kept other details under wraps for now, but Brown teased that Enola Holmes would find herself in London this time around, exploring the busy city while becoming a detective herself. “We set the film in the hustle and bustle of London, something we didn’t really see in the first,” she said. “We have to really understand what this young girl is doing in this crazy city that surrounds her day and night, and we can explore these places in great detail.”

Returning director Harry Bradbeer also explained that Enola Holmes 2 will take on a darker, more serious tone than its predecessor. “I wish the story was tougher,” he added. “I want to introduce her to working-class girls in a working-class world. I hope it’s a whole new world for Enola, so she can’t help herself.”

Enola Holmes 2 is coming to Netflix on November 4th.
