Manchester United and Adidas (XETRA: ADS.DE +0.32%) are unveiling the next kit from their growing sportswear partnership. Adidas Football will now showcase Manchester United’s new away kit ahead of the 2022/23 season, following the release of the retro-inspired home kit earlier this month.
Manchester United’s new away kit is a mix of old and new, as the Red Devils look to create a modern look that pays homage to the club’s rich history. Designed in white – the first time the colour has been available since the 2015/16 season – it features a two-tone three-stripe detail in black and red on the shoulders. For finer details, a newly introduced spiral pattern has been incorporated into the jersey fabric. The 90s-inspired graphics symbolize Manchester United’s DNA and identity as a Reds. Building on the design, an engineered collar and cuffs have been introduced, reminiscent of Manchester United’s 1998/99 away kit.
In terms of technical details, the jersey is made of 100% recycled materials and uses Adidas’ latest temperature regulation technology “HEAT.RDY – KEEP COOL”. Designed to keep players cool and dry on the field, the technology also optimizes sweat distribution and increases overall airflow into the jersey.
