The new “Lord of the Rings: Ring of Power” trailer sees Galadriel taking matters into his own hands, with the first two episodes slated for an early release on August 31.
Amazon Prime Video released a new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power on Tuesday, giving the highly anticipated Lord of the Rings prequel series a fresh look.
The nearly three-minute trailer mostly follows the elven warrior Galadriel, played by Morfid Clark, who can sense the imminent threat of Middle-earth. “My brother gave his life to hunt down the enemy,” Galadriel says in the trailer’s opening, before flashing footage shows her brother fighting to the death in the last big fight. Standing in front of her brother’s body, she picked up his sword, shed a tear, and said, “His mission is mine now.”
“From a relatively peaceful era, the series follows a cast of familiar and new characters as they face a long-feared evil re-emerging in Middle-earth,” reads the official journal. “From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the splendid forests of the elven capital Linton, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the farthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will create long-lasting legacy After they left.”
In addition to Clark, the cast also includes Cynthia Ardai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owen Arthur, Maxim Baldri, Nazanin Boniadi, Ismail Cruz Cole Dowa, Charles Edwards, Tristan Gravell, Sir Lenny Henry, Emma Horvath, Markla Cavener and Joseph Moller.
The first two episodes of The Lord of the Rings: Ring of Might will premiere in theaters on August 31, before the season hits Amazon Prime Video on September 2. Watch the new trailer above.
