On Aug. 24, Phoebe Gates, daughter of Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates, took to her Instagram to urge her followers to consume fashion in a renewable way.
The 19-year-old eco-activist has teamed up with vintage designer rental company Annie’s Ibiza to write a lengthy message about the importance of sustainable shopping. The post’s title snippet describes her love of green fashion practices, writing: “Personally, I love exploring my own style, which is a great way to practice sustainable fashion while incorporating new pieces.”
Drawing on looks from several impressive designers, the fashionista created full outfits and photographed her for her followers. The slideshow of the images starts with Gates wearing a tan pleated plaid dress with a light brown fleece-lined down jacket. The Central Saint Martens grad was first spotted wearing Golden Goose sneakers embellished with gold sequins and adorned with their signature white star.

Check out the two depicted Gates wearing Paco Rabanne’s chainmail dress, the brand’s famous style, which consists of neutral-hued discs looped together to form a partially sheer ensemble.
The last outfit to borrow is a pink suede midi ‘Tea 4 2’ Moschino dress with gold appliqués on the front that mimic the style name, and a pink, blue and gold teacup bodice. The dress is extremely rare, and the quirky style embodies the brand’s glamorous spirit and the unusual but often impressive design prowess at the helm of Jeremy Scott.
Gates paired vintage designer pieces with nude sandals. Many stiletto sandals are a fashion staple during the warmer months, with a simple chunky strap at the toe and a securing strap at the ankle to keep the shoe in place, creating an almost non-existent look Structure. Stiletto sandals typically have a heel of 4 inches or more, adding some height and length for a flattering silhouette.
