In a recent interview with Deadline, the producers confirmed that they are “reimagining Bond” after Daniel Craig stepped down from the role for No Time To Die. “No one’s running,” Broccoli confirmed as they tried to find a replacement for Craig. “We’re looking at where to go with him, and we’re talking about that. There’s no script, we can’t come up with a script until we decide what to do with the next movie because, really, it’s a remake of Bond. We’re reinventing who he is, and it’s going to take time. No Time to Die is Craig’s fifth and final role as 007 after 15 years as a spy. The film was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but was finally released in the UK and US in late September and early October 2021. It grossed $774.2 million worldwide, making it the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2021.
