Hannah Waddingham stepped onto the gold carpet in a pink gown and concealed sneakers tonight at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. The “Ted Russo” star was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for the second year in a row.
Almost wrapped in tulle, Waddingham’s dresses were strapless, dazzling with heart-shaped necklines and bodice-like bodice stripes and rose-gold crystals. Sheer tulle overlays dragged behind the actress while serving as a massive complement to the outfit.
While Waddingham’s shoes were hidden by the cascading hem of her gown, the Brit revealed in an interview with Laverne Cox that she was wearing custom Dolce & Gabbana sneakers underneath her skirt. “No one knew I couldn’t wear high heels,” she said.
The actress wore minimal accessories, paired with a silver diamond ring and dazzling diamond earrings. She locked her bleach blonde hair into a hearty updo and accentuated her features with shimmering gold accents.
Waddingham recently appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” before the big night. RuPaul replaces Jimmy Kimmel as guest host. The 48-year-old discussed everything from her role in the “Hocus Pocus” sequel to her heady Emmy nomination, all while wearing a fitted bright blue midi dress. The actress paired the risky dress with a pair of classic black patent leather pumps with pointed toes.
The 2022 Emmy Awards honor television’s top acts and shows. This year’s ceremony was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and hosted by entertainer Cedric.
