Sony Pictures postponed the release dates of Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter, two Sony/Marvel Universe films starring Dakota Johnson and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Sony Pictures is delaying the release of many of its major titles over the next two years, including the highly anticipated “Mrs. Web” and “Kraven the Hunter.”
“Mrs. Web” has reportedly been delayed by four months and will premiere on February 16, 2024 instead of October 6, 2023, as originally planned, while Kraven the Hunter will experience an even longer delay of 10 Month, premiering on October 6, 2023, instead of January 13, 2023. The studio didn’t reveal the reason for the delay, but it comes with the announcement of several new films from Sony Pictures.
Both films will be part of the Sony/Marvel universe, with Mrs Webb being advertised as a Spider-Man spinoff. It stars Dakota Johnson as the protagonist and stars Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced ), Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, Mike Epps, Adam Scott and Zosia Mamet Mamet) and will be directed by SJ Clarkson. Craven the Hunter, on the other hand, will cast Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the lead, alongside Ariana Debos and Fred Hezinger, while JC Chandor will direct.
