The Queen of Easter Eggs is back with a seemingly straightforward answer – but not all fans are convinced.
Taylor Swift posted on her Instagram Tuesday night after spending an evening at the NSAI 2022 Nashville Songwriters Awards. Her post follows a tweet on TikTok earlier in the day in which she said she would meet them on Taylor’s account at midnight.

In the video, the Grammy winner admits that she’s used to adding clues as she adds new information about music, but she’s here to challenge that. She started a new series titled “Midnights Mayhem with Me” following the title of her upcoming album “Midnights”, which will be released on October 21. The series shows Swift using a lottery cage full of ping-pong balls, labeled 1 to 13, to let “Fate” decide which song’s title she will announce. She pulls out a ball marked 13 and announces that the title of track 13 is “Mastermind”.

In the video, Swift designed a brown blazer with dark brown button detailing on the sleeves and a jacket closure by Smythe. She wore a white T-shirt under the blazer and finished the outfit with a pair of shorts. She donned her signature red lip color and locked her blonde hair in loose waves.
It seems fate has surfaced the name of the 13th track, and some fans are not so sure. One of the top comments on TikTok was “I don’t believe they didn’t all say 13.”
Whether or not you choose to believe it’s another clue, one thing’s for sure: Taylor Swift continues to surprise us all. See you next time, midnight of course.
