Warner Bros. on Thursday shared the second official trailer for Olivia Wilde’s second-year director’s “Don’t Worry Darling,” starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles.
In this latest version of the film, Pugh’s Alice and her partner Jack (Styles) appear to be living a satisfying life in the experimental utopia of Victory, a corporate town inhabited by top-secret The people of the Victory Project, which promises to change the world. However, as the preview progresses, Alice begins to question the company’s ethics, but her attempts to convince other Victory residents that the group’s seemingly pathological attempts will prove unsuccessful.
Faced with constant nightmares and loss of control, Alice tearfully pleads, “They lied to everything!” Later, the trailer teases an eye-opening conversation between Alice and Victory’s CEO Frank , Frank told her, “I’ve been waiting for someone like you; someone to challenge me…like a good girl.”
In addition to Pugh and Styles, top performers include Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Sydney Chandler and Nick Kroll. In addition to directing, Wilde also had a supporting role in the film. Notably, don’t worry, Dear marks Stiles’ first lead role, although he did have a small role in 2017’s Dunkirk.
Don’t worry darling, it premieres in theaters on September 23rd. Watch the trailer above.
