The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced its strongest London Fashion Week (LFW) lineup since before the pandemic.
Burberry and Raf Simons were among the big names to take part in this year’s runway show from September 16-20.
JW Anderson will also share its latest collection, while LFW regulars like Richard Quinn, Erdem and Simone Rocha will return to the roster.
The BFC released a provisional schedule on Monday (July 25), which will mark Simons’ first appearance at the event.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to present a fashion show in London – the streets of the city are full of fashion and creativity, and here I see great people with a strong unique style,” Simons, who is also Prada’s co-creative director, said in a statement. said in a statement.
He added: “I am so excited that this dream is now becoming a reality and I am delighted to welcome the amazing people and faces that make up the London scene to my show. Can’t wait to meet you and dance the night away.”
A total of 110 brands will showcase their spring 2023 collections throughout the long weekend, including newcomers such as Chopova Lowena and Di Petsa.
Burberry will return to LFW for the first time since pre-pandemic. It hosted its first fashion show in March of this year, but it happened two weeks after LFW in February.
Kate Middleton’s favourite Emilia Wickstead will also be showing her latest collection, with designers such as Molly Goddard, Halpern, Richard Malone and Huishan Zhang lining up.
While the full schedule will be released in mid-August, Simons is expected to reveal at 8pm on the first day of LFW, while JW Anderson and Burberry are both scheduled for Saturday (September 17).
