Lauren Sanchez makes date night edgy by having dinner with Jeff Bezos in London – including Tom Cruise.
For dinner with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos at The 22, Sanchez wore a deep black gown with spaghetti straps, a flowing skirt and a shimmering sheer front panel. A silver pendant necklace, diamond stud earrings and a small black leather handbag completed Sanchez’s outfit. For an effortless dress-up look, the former “Damn Sports Show Period” reporter also paired her gown with aviator sunglasses and layered string bracelets.
The ex-journalist’s shoe of choice was a set of black leather mules for a monochromatic look. Her style includes pointy toes, and stilettos with an overall height of at least 3 inches. The style provided more breathability to Bezos’ girlfriend’s outfit, while preserving the high-heeled silhouette beneath her gown—just like traditional pumps or embellished mules, they can be paired in the same look. 
In fact, during the current high-heel renaissance, mules are on the rise. This summer, a range of brands introduced open-toe and pointed-toe styles in a variety of textures, such as 7 Or 9’s latest summer collection: sleek low-heeled silks, suede and leather in neutral and jewel tones. Meanwhile, brands including Vince Camuto, Alohas and BCBGMAXAZRIA also entered the new season with stiletto and block-heeled styles, as well as wrapped, twisted and woven straps. The new collection also includes minimalist styles in bright colors and high-gloss metallics from brands including Charles and Keith, Kate Spade New York and Tony Bianco. 
Sanchez usually wears versatile nudes and black heels on the red carpet from brands like Christian Louboutin. The “View” guest host’s off-duty kit includes sneakers from Alexander McQueen, Nike, Adidas and Golden Goose, as well as Chloé rubber boots. She also opted for gladiator sandals or chunky crisscross straps in neutral shades for everyday wear.
