Netflix releases official trailer for Guillermo Del Toro’s “Pinocchio,” and a stop-motion sneak peek of “Boy of Wood with Borrowed Souls.”
Netflix has officially released the first trailer for famed director Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming stop-motion film Pinocchio.
In this iteration, del Toro “reimagines Carlo Collodi’s classic puppet story, where the puppet is magically brought to life to mend the heart of a grieving woodcarver.” The film follows Pinocchio in 1930s fascist Italy The adventures of navigating Benito Mussolini under his reign.
The voice cast consists of a star-studded team with Ewan McGregor as Cricket and Gergory Mann as the titular character. Others include David Bradley, Tilda Swinton, Finn Wolfhard, Christopher Waltz, Ron Pullman, Cate Blanchett, Tee Blake Nelson, Burn Gorman, etc. The stop-motion animated film was first announced in 2018. The film will be released in select theaters in November and on Netflix starting in December.
