The haute couture show may have ended in Paris, but Selena Gomez arrived in the City of Lights in spectacular style, visiting Sephora’s Rare Beauty to mark the launch of the Kind Words Matte Lipstick Collection.
Longtime stylist Kate Young chose the perfect Parisian look for the multi-talented star: a black-and-white plaid skirt and a top from legendary label Alaïa. Gomez’s hair was styled in Orlando Pita with a modern take on the ’60s, with a voluminous top and sleek side bangs. She paired it with a heart-shaped tote (also Alaïa), white Stuart Weitzman pumps, and Messika jewelry.
In The Hollywood Reporter’s article, Young talked about her styling process for Gomez: “We wanted her to be restrained, glamorous, and mature — not just to make her look cool to go to a party.” The” The “Only Murder in the Building” actor’s recent appearances attest to her love of classic, elegant silhouettes like her sparkly silver Michael Kors red carpet gown and Oscar de la Renta-trimmed miniature straights Dress, perfect for her trip to the White House. Hopefully Yang and Gomez will see more glamorous and chic looks on their upcoming trips.
