“Bullet Train” topped the domestic box-office chart with $30.1 million, however, analysts claim that a film of this caliber “deserves a better debut.”

Bullet Train, starring David Leitch’s Brad Pitt, topped the domestic box office with $30.1 million in its opening weekend.

According to Deadline, the film brought in $12.6 million on Friday, including a $4.6 million preview that started Thursday, for a total of $8 million on Friday. On Saturday, that number finally jumped 20% to $9.6 million, bringing the global total to $62.5 million.

However, Variety added that the film needs to do better at the box office to profit from its $90 million budget. “A highly anticipated blockbuster like this deserves an even better premiere,” said Jeff Bock, senior media analyst for exhibitor relations. “That said, there wasn’t much competition in August, so ‘bullet train’ ‘There should be a good window to be successful in the next few weeks.”
