Halle Bailey poses for her Variety magazine photoshoot in pairs of sky-high platform silhouettes.
The actress sat down with Variety to discuss her role as Ariel in the upcoming “Little Mermaid” live-action film. Bailey was wearing a stylish sea green suit for the shoot. The 22-year-old was chiseled in a geometric dress.

The top is bowed, reminiscent of Ariel’s shell top. The lower body is matched with a green high-waisted skirt with a curved hip. The bottom was cut above her ankle, leaving room to show off her towering shoes.
The shoe features an extra-high platform and a triangular heel; combined with a sheer base and covered in orange and blue swirls on the sole, heel and toe upper. The straps were fastened to her ankles and printed with yellow polka dots.
Looking at her again, the star was all white and looked like an angel. The suit featured a white turtleneck crop top with ruffle detailing, paired with a lightweight white skirt tied around her side. For footwear, she slipped on a pair of sleek glass slippers for a sleek, modern twist. Like her first pair, this sheer shoe features a thick block sole that adds to her height and enhances the look. The barely-there sandals also feature a thick strap around her ankle with a silver buckle.
In the interview, Bailey discussed the importance of her status as the second black actress to be crowned a Disney princess. She noted, “I want the little girl inside me and the little girl who is watching like me to know that they are special and that they should be princesses in every way,” Bailey said. “There’s no reason it shouldn’t. That kind of reassurance is what I need.”
