Johnny Depp returns for his first feature film in three years as King Louis XV in “Jenny Dubarry.”
Johnny Depp is back for his first movie role, joining the cast of Jeanne du Barry, three years after his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard Lineup, playing the role of King Louis XV, a controversial figure who ruled France from 1715 to 1774. Filming began last month in Paris and the Ile-de-France region, with production company Why Not Productions revealing an image of Depp in a full costume as an early teaser for fans.
The film follows Jeanne, the daughter of a poor seamstress who, despite her high status, uses her wit and charm to rise through the court of Louis XV as his successor to the infamous Madame de Pompadour.
