Tickets for the Studio Ghibli theme park are now on sale, with the grand opening of Japan’s Ghibli Park this November.
Park Ghibli Japan is gearing up for its grand opening later this fall, with official tickets available for purchase.
The theme park is located within the Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park, less than two hours by train from Kyoto city. The park covers about 17.5 acres and will feature three open areas, including Ghibli’s large warehouse. Visitors will be able to experience exhibits and artifacts from some of the studio’s most noteworthy films. The area will include a “Mountain of Youth” featuring antique shops from Whispers of the Heart, as well as reenactments of Dondoko Forest from The Return of the Cat and My Neighbor Totoro. This will also include a Totoro-themed playground.
The other two areas, including Ghost Village and Witch Valley, will open after 2023. Various attractions such as Sky Castle, Kiki’s Delivery Service and Arrietty’s Secret World. Three of the five zones will be ready for visitors when the grand opening takes place on November 1, 2022. Studio Ghibli Park is open from 10am to 5pm on weekdays, excluding Tuesdays, holidays and 9am and 5pm weekend afternoons. Please check the official website for ticket purchase.
