“She-Hulk” writers say Daredevil won’t be so dark on the show, and the cameo marks Charlie Cox’s first costume appearance in the MCU.
Charlie Cox’s return as Daredevil has long been requested by fans, and after a brief cameo in his role as Matt Murdoch in Spider-Man: Nowhere, he will finally be in the upcoming film Hats on again in Disney+ series She-Hulk: Lawyer. However, Gao Jie, the show’s lead writer, said his appearance on the show won’t be as shady as Netflix’s.
In a recent interview, the creative told The Direct that they wanted to bring different characters into the world of She-Hulk and have them play with the tone of the show rather than their usual characters.
“Charlie (Cox) is amazing. He’s good at anything, he’s a great actor, a great person,” Ko began. “What’s interesting about bringing him and Daredevil into our world is that people have seen a very dramatic Daredevil, kind of heavy, very dark, brooding.”
She continued: “It’s been really fun to be able to do that – we do with every character cameo from the MCU – it’s us taking them out of the environment you know it’s a bit more dramatic and action-packed. Oriented environment. The characters, more of a serious side, we bring them into our world and they start to play the She-Hulk tone. They have to explore so we can see the lighter side of the character.”
