Lionsgate has confirmed the official release date of Saw 10, arriving on Halloween 2023.
Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures are bringing the Saw franchise back for its 10th installment next year.
According to Variety, the thriller will have Kevin Groot returning as director. Greutert originally led Saw VI in 2009 and Saw: The Final Chapter in 2010. He was also the editor for the first five films in the series and Jigsaw in 2017. Not many details have been revealed about Saw 10’s plot, however, Greutert is a fan-favorite choice for the film.
The producers of the franchises Mark Burg and Oren Koules told Variety, “We’ve been listening to our fans and are working hard to plan a movie that chainsaw fans and horror fans alike will love. Part of that is handing the reins. To Kevin Greutert, director of Saw VI, which remains one of the fan favorites throughout the series. More details to come soon.” The series has been a staple of horror classics since its inception in 2004.
Saw 10 is expected to be released on October 27, 2023.
