The “Boys” showrunner teased that filming for season four has begun, confirming that he’s headed to Toronto ahead of production.
With Amazon Prime’s third season of The Boys wrapping up earlier this year, fans now have the latest news that filming has begun for the highly anticipated fourth season.
In a tweet from showrunner Eric Kripke, the next season of the acclaimed show appears to be well underway. The shocking finale of season three sets the events of season four as the storyline continues to unfold. As preparations for the new season begin, more and more information is being revealed. Recently, the news that Cameron Krovetti has joined the new season as a series regular has revived fans. The show also gave Ryan a larger role. Season four is also expected to delve deeper into the aftermath that happened between Billy Butcher and Hughie Campbell, Soldier Boy survived season three and Starlight left the Seven. In the tweet, Kripke posted a photo of himself at Toronto’s Pearson Airport, showing him back in Canada, where he was filming for the first three seasons.
The Boys official account also released a group of photos of the crew flying to Toronto, teasing that the fourth season is already in preparation and ready to shoot. Check out the announcement below. Season four is expected to arrive between summer 2023 and spring 2024.
