Kiernan Shipka took a powerful and comfortable step in New York City this week.

While strolling through New York on Wednesday afternoon, the “Creepy Adventures of Sabrina” star wore a black polo shirt and two-tone knit shorts with a magenta and lilac checkerboard print. Adding simple high-end details to her ensemble was a thin gold ring and matching paper clip chain necklace.

Speaking of shoes, Shipka continued her colorful streak with a set of vibrant Ugg slippers. Her $130 Maxi Checks style features a padded upper that’s quilted for a fluffy texture and covered in a vintage checkerboard print in shades of pink, green, blue, orange, and yellow. Shipka’s shoes feature a 2.5″ platform sole, neon pink sheepskin insole, and Eva midsole for plush comfort and a vibrant pop of color.

Slides like Shipka’s are the most comfortable footwear trend of the year, and slip-on slides add comfort and comfort with plush texture and padding. In the new styles from Ganni, Marni and Staud, the platform version further elevates the silhouette with a playful height boost. This summer, Simon Miller in particular embraced the trend with an open mind, releasing a number of vegan styles with platform soles and foam sockliners in shades of orange, blue, green and metallic silver.

Shipka’s footwear styles often range from trendy to whimsical. The actress often wears stylish high-heeled sandals and pumps – often accented with colour and jewellery – from a range of brands including Valentino, Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin. Her off-duty looks were noticeably more casual, including sneakers, flat brogues and flat sandals from Birkenstock, Stella McCartney and Nike.

Shipka has been a regular in the fashion industry since she played the role of Sally Draper in “Mad Men” at age 8, with appearances such as Coach, Loewe and 3.1 Phillip Lim Brand fashion show. She also starred in ad campaigns over the years as Rodarte and Fendi’s muse.

  3. Today, I went to the beach front with my kids.

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to
her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
