Kendall Jenner was pictured wearing a sleek western-inspired look while out in Beverly Hills, California, yesterday.
Jenner wore a ’90s-inspired hue with a brown tank top with white lettering embroidered on the bodice, and a matching maxi skirt. The Hugo Boss campaign star paired the two-piece with a black rectangular clutch and simple gold studs, with minimal accessories. The sought-after model and former “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star wore long black hair that was parted in the middle for the on-trend “clean girl” look.
Jenner added a western flair, wearing black shiny cowboy boots with a pronounced heel and pointed toes. The bulky shoe choice offsets the fitted suit, creating an interesting silhouette that’s sloping and oversized at the bottom and slim at the top.
While these boots are a more modern interpretation of the iconic style, there are certain elements of the shoe that are reminiscent of the original. The cowboy boot is a rustic American silhouette, marked by a pointed toe and a high, stacked leather heel. Mostly, cowboy boots are made of leather with a shaft that extends almost to the mid-calf of the wearer.
Boots in this style often feature artistic inlays and overlays as decorative features over the body and upper. True to their name, cowboy boots were first popularized by Western ranchers in the 1860s, with a sturdy construction that could withstand the daily grind of horseback riding and ranching better than the standard shoes of the day.
When she’s not stomping on the runway, Jenner can be seen wearing lace-up sandals and mules from the likes of Amina Muaddi, Bottega Veneta and Saint Laurent. For casual attire, she can be seen wearing Nike and Converse sneakers, Birkenstock sandals and a range of boots.
Add a wild touch to your next look with a pair of western boots.
