Becky G brings mid-century glamour to the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards in Newark, NJ.
The “Shower” singer posed in a sleeveless Zuhair Murad gown as she walked the red carpet at the Prudential Center on Sunday night. From the designer’s Fall 2022 collection, Becky G’s haute couture dress features a slim fit with thin top and side straps for a bold vertical cutout. Covering the front and back of her dress is a swirling panel print of colorful shapes reminiscent of medieval beaded tapestries. The singer’s gorgeous dress was complemented by sparkling red drop earrings studded with gemstones.
For footwear, stylist Morgan Pinney completed Becky G’s look with a set of sparkly sandals. Her silver shoe features a mirrored texture with a slender ankle and a curved open-toe strap. A stiletto heel that measures 4-5 inches overall completes the pair, creating a head-to-toe statement outfit that captures light and is dynamic.
The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on August 28, hosted by Nicki Minaj, Jack Harlow and LL Cool J. Minaj will receive the event’s Pioneer Award for his contributions to the music industry, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers will receive the Global Icon Award. The 2022 awards will also include Blackpink, Anitta, Panic! At the disco, Lizzo and Maneskin. This year’s nominations were led by Harlow, Harry Styles and Doja Cat with eight nominations each.
