“Spider-Man: Nowhere” Extended Cut confirms seven cut scenes, now in theaters.
Sony Pictures and Marvel haven’t quite embraced the “Spider-Man: Nowhere” hype.
The studio recently confirmed that it will release an extended cut version of the film, titled “The More Fun Stuff Edition.” While no trailer has been released or hinted at what to expect beyond a few trailers for the big-screen comeback, the 11-minute add-on is expected to include seven other deleted scenes.
According to promotional materials, The Direct has predicted which seven deleted expansion scenes fans will see. Viewers may be able to dig deeper into the interrogation scene where the Damage Control Department talks to Aunt May, Ned, and MJ. In the original cut of the film, Peter’s classmates are excited to find out that he is the real Spider-Man. The deleted scene may have hinted at his school’s greater celebration of heroes.
A deeper look at the basement of Sanctum Sanctorum is also possible. While the theatrical cut shows MJ holding a box with a goatee template resembling Doctor Strange’s facial hair, the extended scene may unlock more character-related Easter eggs. Daredevil’s presence may also indicate his connection to the story. The expanded sequence also sees more of the Spider-Man trio come to the screen to reveal greater connections and more scenes with the multiverse villains.
Look out for an extended cut that hits theaters on September 1.
