Vanessa Hudgens brings a clever approach to all-black style while promoting Versace’s latest It-bag – paired with bold shoes.

In a series of Instagram photos, Hudgens showed off the Italian brand’s new $2,895 Greca Goddess tote — a curved black leather shoulder bag with gold chain detailing and convertible straps. For the occasion, she paired the bag with an equally stark outfit: a cropped black short-sleeve cardigan and baggy cargo pants for a voluminous cutout. Completing Hudgens’ outfit are aviator sunglasses, hoop earrings and her go-to Cartier Love bracelet, and Foundrae’s hybrid clip-on necklace featuring her own vintage queen Nefertiti charm.

“Tick, tick… rumble!” The actress completed her outfit with a set of punchy Balenciaga mules. Her $890 Cagole style features a leather upper, a rounded sole, a 2-inch heel, and curved shoulder straps with buckled silver hardware. If the style looks very familiar, that’s because it is; the shoes are inspired by the French brand’s Le Cagole handbags from the mid-2000s, and feature the same metal detailing. Hudgens’ suits complemented her dark ensemble with bold pops of color, as well as metallic accessories that complemented her jewelry and handbags.

However, that wasn’t Hudgens’ only daring footwear moment of late. In August, the star posed for a photo with her close friend GG Magree on Instagram, wearing multicolor printed Versace joggers, which she teamed with a cropped white tank top, reflective sunglasses and chunky black Naked Wolfe platform slippers.

When it comes to shoes, Hudgens favors styles that are somewhere between fashion and sport. The “Give Me Shelter” actress often wears chunky sneakers, casual and gym clothes from brands like Naked Wolfe and Mercer Amsterdam. On the red carpet, she usually wears pointed-toe pumps and platform shoes from Miu Miu, Manolo Blahnik, Brian Atwood and Stuart Weitzman. Hudgens has also added affordable styles to her after-get off work wardrobe, like Tkees flip-flops, Crocs clogs and Adidas slippers that retail for under $50. She also appeared in Savage X Fenty’s Vol. 3 fashion shows and front row for brands like Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera and Anna Sui during New York Fashion Week.
