Sachs kicked off New York Fashion Week in a significant way. The event, which took place at L’Avenue in Saks on Thursday night, really kicked off a crowded fashion show and celebration.
Guests saw towering glasses, shelves filled with designer pieces and a special performance by Chloe Bailey. The night marked the debut of Bailey, who was recently revealed to be the star of Saks Fifth Avenue’s fall/winter ad.
The “Compassionate” producer put on a striking look and took to the stage to serenade the crowd. Bailey stepped out in a black sequined gown. The dress had a deep V-neck, loose sleeves, a dangerously thigh-high center slit and a floor-length hem that deftly swept across the floor as she walked.

The five-time Grammy-nominated singer styled her locs into a bun and continued to elevate her look with shimmery lavender eyeshadow and a neutral pout. Bailey packed her essentials in a small square brown clutch and continued with silver hoop earrings and a chain choker.
Completing the look is a pair of black sheer sandals. The shoe has a wide band in the toe cap and is fastened to the small heel.
Lace-up sandals are now becoming one of the popular shoe styles. High heels have made many celebrities give up the comfort of their rivals. The iconic staggered straps go from barely-there to minimalist, and the lace-up sandal is clearly a summer-proven shoe.
