Russell Westbrook stars in the new “Dear Brody” short film dedicated to honoring our childhood selves.
Russell Westbrook’s Los Angeles-based brand, Honor The Gift, has unveiled the first trailer for “Dear Brodie,” a short film starring Westbrook that tells a coming-of-age story and a reminder to never forget who we want to be .
Directed by Dennis Williams of Campsight Studios and Zero World Media Productions, the film flashes between a young Brody and his grown-up NBA star. The film is like a time capsule, from the perspective of Westbrook’s father, Brody goes on to mention the child inside, the child who inspires him to reach his fullest potential.
With the release of the trailer, Honor The Gift presents a Fall 2022 “District” series inspired by the Los Angeles Unified School District – continuing the “inner city student” theme featured in Westbrook’s first two series.
The “District” series is now available online, with more information on the short coming soon.
