Jill Biden took a classic approach when he met Queen Letizia of Spain on Wednesday afternoon — and coincidentally, he also created a matching moment.
Arriving at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the First Lady wore a white long-sleeve midi dress with a matte base, a belted silhouette and a cutout swirl throughout. Her set features silver and dark green pearl drop earrings. Likewise, Queen Letizia wore an ivory belted shirtdress with a collared silhouette and knee-length skirt with sparkly hoop earrings and a set of warm brown leather pointed pumps.
Queen Letizia, Honorary President of the Spanish Cancer Society, visited the United States with the First Lady ahead of World Cancer Research Day on September 24. Their visit to Colombia aims to underscore the importance of global collaboration to end cancer, as well as further cancer research today.
In terms of shoes, Biden opted for a classic formal appearance, pairing it with a pair of her Valentino heels. Her $1,297 VLogo style features a thin slingback strap and pointed toe in smooth rose nude patent-leather. Each shoe features a large “V” logo appliqué on the toe and features a 3.14″ overall stiletto heel. This style provides a clean and professional base for Biden’s ensembles, proving suitable for diplomatic meetings and everyday wear.
For footwear, Biden’s choice is classic and sharp. The First Lady often wears versatile heels and boots in nude, black and even decorative hues from Manolo Blahnik, Valentino and Stuart Weitzman. Jewelry and metallic pointed-toe pumps are also a go-to for her bright outfit, from brands including Sarah Jessica Parker, Prada and Jimmy Choo’s SJP. During the warmer months, she can also be seen wearing espadrille wedge sandals by Loeffler Randall.
