Dwayne Johnson Releases New ‘Corrected’ ‘Black Adam’ Trailer, Completely Removes Reference to ‘Justice League’
Just about a month before Black Adam’s official theatrical release, eponymous star Dwayne Johnson has released a new trailer called “Legacy” to create more buzz for the DC Universe movie.
The movie has a lot going for it at the moment, as it’s being described as a project that puts the live-action DC universe back on top. However, prior to the now-released new trailer, the original location featured Steppenwolf from the 2017 Justice League cut. The scene in question drew a backlash from fans, as many didn’t like seeing it in the theatrical cut. After public feedback, Black Adam re-released an updated version of the trailer, and even Johnson himself took to Twitter to address the changes.
In a recent Q&A with ComicBook, Johnson said of his role, “I’m 100% committed to not only being Black Adam, but expanding the Black Adam universe, the DC universe. I’m an optimist, going from ‘to’ this Words begin. So, for me and all of us here, all the universes are in our heads. I will, we will all, work really hard to make sure we honor the myths, but also give the fans what they want Wanted. I heard the fans, we all heard it, and I picked up everything they put down.”
