Daisy Edgar-Jones sat front row at Gucci’s Spring 2023 ‘Twinsburg’ show during Milan Fashion Week yesterday. The “Crawdad’s Sing” actress wore Gucci’s signature whimsical outfit with a towering platform.

Jones wore a gothic red and black zig-zag print mini dress with an exaggerated pointed Peter Pan collar and long balloon sleeves. The dress was belted in the middle to give Jones a more defined silhouette. She paired the dress with a delicate speckled sheer black bodysuit.

The British star carries a black bamboo clutch, another Gucci staple, featuring silver spikes and a colorful floral pattern. Her makeup, like the dress, was dark and bold, while her brown hair was wavy and parted in the middle.

For footwear, Jones wore black Mary Jane platform shoes with a round toe and block heel. Platform heels have a raised sole, usually 4 inches or higher. The platform construction helps compensate for the exaggerated heel, allowing for higher heights than traditional pumps without causing the foot to arch to an uncomfortable angle.

In fact, if comfort is a concern, some experts recommend that you keep your heel height no higher than 3 inches by subtracting the platform height from the heel.

Gucci’s ‘Twinsburg’ collection saw the Italian brand’s creative director Alessandro Michele pair models with their doppelgangers in what must have been one of the most complex catwalk shows the fashion industry has ever seen. The models wore dark suits, trouser legs and garter boots, silver nose and face jewelry, pearl necklaces and a new quilted bag. As the show progressed, the catwalk styling became more refined.
