A set of Loki season 2 photos have surfaced on Twitter, and fans were quick to spot some Easter eggs that appear to have introduced a new superhero to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In one of the photos, there appears to be a poster for a fictional movie titled “Phone Ranger” that appeared on the set of season two in London. The poster features a new hero wearing a helmet shaped like a rotary phone with a sign that reads: “Criminal, he has your number.” Additional information on the poster states that the film was produced by “Goodman Productions.” Produced and starring “Charles Theobald” as Phone Ranger. Phone Ranger’s original co-creator Kurt Busick responded to the poster on Twitter, seemingly confirming that the series uses his and James Fry’s characters.
Phone Ranger, aka AG Bell, started out as a phone repairman who discovered technology that could be used to communicate with any communication device. The character was introduced in Marvel Age Annual #1. In another of Loki’s vintage movie posters, fans noticed that one of them confirmed the appearance of Brad Wolfe aka The Zaniac in season two. On closer inspection, Kumail Nanjiani’s Eternal Star character Jin Go also seems to be regarded as a famous Bollywood star.
How all of this works together to create Loki’s second season remains to be seen. Season 1 is now available on Disney+
