Netflix dropped exclusive premiere clip for Chris Hemsworth’s return to “Extraction 2,” which returns as Tyler Rick in the blockbuster sequel.
Netflix has officially revealed the debut of Extraction 2, the sequel to the streaming blockbuster. The film marks the return of titular actor Chris Hemsworth as mercenary Tyler Rake as he prepares to rescue the battered family of a Georgian gangster from prison. Debuting at Netflix’s 2022 Tudum: Netflix Global Fan Event.
Hemsworth returns as Tyle Rake, a former SASR operator turned Black Ops. The first look video provides expected scenes and action sequences for the upcoming sequel. The clip gives viewers a chance to see director Sam Hargrave’s voice behind the camera, saying: “You have a title with 2 after your name, you have to bring at least twice as much action.” Golshifteh Farahani reprised her role in the first film, which also co-starred Daniel Bernhardt and Tina Tindarakishvili.
The film is a sequel to the first film, which was based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Ender Parks. The first glimpse of the trailer gave fans a glimpse of the larger action sequence and shared new stunts, including landing a helicopter on a moving train. Hemsworth also discussed and promised more action in the second film, saying, “Everything that got you here doesn’t mean anything unless you can do it bigger and better than ever.”
