Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco hunt vampires in new trailer for Netflix’s ‘The Day Shift’
The action movie will premiere on streaming early next month.
Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming original film Day Shift. Directed by JJ Perry, the action film features Jamie Foxx as a father, who hopes to support his family by working as a pool cleaner in the San Fernando Valley. However, the show secretly shows how he actually makes money: by hunting vampires.
Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco join Foxx as members of the League of Vampire Slayers. In the trailer, Foxx and Franco drive their work car to a house where Foxx sneaks into the house to confront a vampire.
“You know what I see when I see a vamp?” Foxx said in voiceover. “A big old dollar sign.”
Day Shift’s script was written by Shay Hatten and Tyler Tice. In addition to the main trio, the cast also includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Meagan Good. Bordizzo is best known for her portrayal of Helena in another Netflix original, The Society. Good has appeared in films such as Anchor 2, Saw V, and most recently, DC Comics’ Shazam. in 2019.
Day Shift will be available for streaming on Netflix on August 12. Watch the first trailer for the movie above.
