Two days before its release, Netflix has now released a creepy trailer for its live-action Resident Evil adaptation, which features the Weskers on the run. While not giving much context for the clip, we see Albert Wesker instructing his two daughters Billie and Jade to escape the kind we saw in the early trailer that seems to be what we saw in the early trailer Seeing the compound, Wesker then covered himself with what appeared to be the blood of a dead dog.
As for the entire series, the plot jumps back and forth between Jed Wesker’s childhood with his father and sister and 14 years later in 2036. Jade survives in a post-apocalyptic world where zombies are rampant and “shocking creatures” roam the land. “In this absolute carnage, Jed is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, haunted by her father’s creepy connection to the sinister Umbrella Corporation, but mostly by her sister Billie Troubled by what happened.”
For fans of the series, Netflix’s live-action Resident Evil will premiere on July 14.
