The host of MTV’s own Josh Horowitz and Happy Sad Confused recently confirmed on Twitter that he has spoken to Ryan Gosling about his interest in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Gosling seems to have his sights set on Ghost Rider, a character named Johnny Blaze who was played by Nicolas Cage in the 2007 film Ghost Rider. In a tweet, Horowitz revealed, “I’ll have a full chat with Ryan Gosling for @MTVNews next week. But for now, honest-to-goodness exclusive. Ryan and I chatted about the Nova rumours yesterday. , he said it wasn’t true. But Ryan contacted me this morning and said he wanted to play a superhero… Ghost Rider.”
This isn’t the first time rumors about Ghost Rider have surfaced. In May 2021, it was rumored that Gabriel Luna would reprise the role, but it was later confirmed in October 2021 that the spinoff would be shelved. Currently, Gosling will play Ken in the new Barbie movie, opposite Margot Robbie.
