James Cameron revealed that he had almost no choice of Leonardo Caprio or Kate Winzlet for the “Titanic”, and Dicaprio initially rejected the audition.
With the forthcoming “Avatar” sequel, director James Cameron recently reviewed a memory with GQ. The film producer who won the Oscar award recalled his casting process of his iconic movie “Titanic”, and he almost did not choose Leonardodi Caprio and Kate Winzlet in his name role. Essence
He explained that Dicaprio initially refused to read the role of Jack and Winslet in the screen test. Cameron ignored it, but told the young actor, “You have to study, otherwise you will not get this role.” Cameron added, “Meeting with Leo and then conducting a screen test with Lion. He recalled: “This meeting is interesting because I sit in my conference room and wait for an actor. I look around, and all women in the entire office are meeting. They want to see Rio. It’s hysterical. ”
Cameron remembers that Dicaprio immediately “fascinated everyone”, and when Dicaprio was preparing to audition, Win Shitt had determined to play Ross.
