Pioneer and TV idol Barbara Walters died at the age of 93. Walters has more than 50 years of radio experience -it has brought some of the most iconic interviews to the world -the first female online news anchor in the United States.
In the 1970s, a new standard was established in an industry composed of men. Walters became famous from her famous interview and quickly became a household name -her 12 Emmy Awards were proof. Since her work in NBC and four decade of ABC, Walters also served as co -host of 20/20 before launching The View.
Walter’s public relations staff Cindi Berger wrote in the statement: “She lives a life without regret. She is not only a pioneer of female journalists, but also the pioneer of all women.” Walterz died peacefully in her home in New York.
