Katie Holmes was seen in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood on Friday night as she headed to a Q&A session for the 2022 film “Alone.”
For the event, the film’s writers, directors and stars wore smart casual attire with a downtown feel. For example, she wore a standard black blazer with smooth buttons on the sides. Underneath the jacket is a white top. Since both are common shades, she added another texture, paired with a pair of denim carpenter jeans, for a more casual side to the outfit. These fitted jeans feature a high-rise silhouette with hammer loops that wrap around the side hem to the back pockets. The combination of blazer and denim eschews the business casual style that is highly representative of Holmes’ famous street style, which includes a lot of denim.
Holmes added hints of color in various places, and she wore dangling multicolor earrings. They start with a white stud attached to a rectangular yellow block and end up with a green ring circle. These shades add color to a mostly neutral outfit. Plus, her pink manicure and red iPhone case brought a much-needed pop of color. Sherlock Holmes brushed her black hair down midway and draped over her shoulders – over the straps of her black messenger bag.
The hem of her denim jeans looked flattering on her white sneakers. These sneakers have a rounded edge with a hint of light brown on the front of the shoe. Hidden behind the trousers are the laces. These sneakers are different from others because of their curved sole and brown trim on the shoe that evokes the feel of a moccasin. These white sneakers maximize the casual look as they complement the jeans so well, while the crisp white complements the undershirt perfectly.
