Lucy Liu swept Comic-Con on Saturday as she promoted her new film.
The “Charlie’s Angels” alum joined a panel of esteemed actors at Comic-Con in San Diego on July 23. The group came together to discuss two new superhero movies, “Black Adam” and “Shazam! Wrath of the Gods.” Liu will play Calypso in the latter, a wizard summoned by Marvel. Poison Priestess, who occasionally confronts Spider-Man. Liu will also perform with big names such as Helen Mirren, Zachary Levi and Rachel Zegler. In addition to the panel discussion, trailers for the film were released across multiple platforms, setting up expectations for the action-packed film set to hit theaters on November 21, 2022.

Liu looks like a comic book character channeling her character’s sinister tendencies in Zuhair Murad’s crimson two-piece. The skirt-like top is made of lace red sheer fabric covered with a red bra top. The top is a fake-neck style with red lace trim on the short sleeves, and the lace trim also lines the hem of the crop top. The dress is about the same, made from a delicate red lace overlay, with an opaque red maxi dress underneath, giving Liu more coverage. The hem of the skirt is not lace lined, but a silky shiny fabric with a wavy texture. With a long wooden staff, Liu is immersed in the cosplay spirit of Comic-Con.
Liu completed her supervillain look with silver and gold platform peep-toe pumps, which complemented the red suit. The high-heeled shoes greatly increased Liu’s height and made her look more sinister. The style is quirky and eye-catching, amplifying the bold Comic-Con style of bangs to the extreme.
