Jameela Jamil let her evil side roam at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 on Saturday. The actress made a fresh appearance as she showed off the upcoming TV show “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” where she played the villain Titania in Marvel Phase 4. The new show will hit Disney+ on August 17.

The “The Good Place” star took to the stage in a sleek black minidress with partners Tatiana Maslany, Jessica Gao, Anu Valia, Kat Coiro and Ginger Gonzaga. Designed by David Koma, this sleek sleeveless dress — which Jamil refers to as a “villain dress” on Instagram — features a deep neckline, slim fit and keyhole. Completing the dress is the crystal lizard accent on its hem. Jamil completed her look with delicate bracelets, necklaces, cocktail rings and a sheer black bodysuit.

Jameel wore a pair of platform sandals for the occasion with thin ankles and curved toe straps on the thick platform soles. A pair of chunky chunky heels that seemed to feature a suede upper added 4 to 5 inches of height to her look. This style adds a bold and versatile touch to Jamil’s outfits, while also streamlining it for a monochromatic look.

Platform sandals like the “How to Build a Girl” actress are popular for their raised heels and sturdy platform soles, and the straps at the upper add balance. Stilettos and chunky heels are also growing in popularity, as is the case with new styles from Aquazzura, Loeffler Randall and Schutz. In addition to Jamil, stars including Kathryn Newton, Jennifer Lopez and Kate Beckinsale have joined Prada, Andrea Wazen and Sophia Webster’s platform in recent weeks.
